How to get there
The easiest way by far travelling with children has to be by plane.
Flights to mainland Spain take approximately 2 ½ hours. However, flight times to the Canaries are a little longer and are about 4½ hours.

There are several airports on the mainland, so no matter where you are going to transfer times shouldn’t be too long.
The islands are relatively small, but each has one airport.

Where to stay

,the and all have an abundance of villas to choose from. Alternatively, you may want to stay in a hotel or self-catering apartment.
also have cottages available in mainland Spain, Mallorca and Ibiza.
KeyCamp Holidays have two sites in mainland Spain, where you can hire a ‘Supertent’ or one of their mobile homes or chalets, which have a range of facilities.

The choices are endless and give you plenty of choice to suit your families needs.

There are the quieter resorts as well as the more boisterous ones, which are perhaps better suited to the teenagers. We have articles on each location and have picked some of the more popular resorts to help you decide which part of Spain is best for you.

Getting around when you are there
The roads are good and it’s easy to get around, but the style of driving in Spain can be fast and furious especially in the cities, which is worth bearing in mind. However, hiring a car can give you the freedom to explore wherever you choose to go.
