Staying in the UK
You have plenty of options for staying in the UK and no busy airports or flight delays! The roads may get a little busy, but don’t let that stop you.

Last Easter we rented a cottage in Wales, which we booked through . This meant that the dog could come too! Wales has many beautiful beaches, castles and of course the beautiful Snowdonia Mountains, which were right on our doorstep! I can recommend it as a fantastic holiday for all the family.

Speaking from experience, I was able to look specifically for cottages where we could take our dog. The site allows you to search specific areas too.
For more cottages, have cottages available. Again they have cottages where you can take your dog.
Both of theses sites allow you to search for child friendly accommodation. Cots and high chairs are usually available, but each property description gives you all the information that you’ll need.

Coastal Retreats offer a selction of luxury cottages in Northumberland. They specialise in child friendly cottages, where you’ll find dressing up boxes, children’s videos and DVDs as well as plastic cutlery, highchairs and travel cots. Check their website for more details, but there is only limited availability as their cottages are incredibly popular, but if you are able to plan ahead, why not look at visiting next year?

If you are thinking of going out of the UK don’t forget to check your passport is up to date as are any necessary vaccinations before you book. There is nothing worse than realising your passport has expired with days to go before you fly!
